Working Groups

CCEA will continue to work effectively with its collaborators, partners and other interested parties. CCEA will encourage the formation of thematic working groups to explore major issues associated with protected areas. It is expected that these working groups will be comprised of individuals from diverse agencies who share a common interest in the strategic priorities of Council. The working groups will report and advise the CCEA executive on the ways and means that Council should explore these issues, such as through coordinated research agendas, strategic partnerships, conferences, workshops, and other communication vehicles.

In particular, the following priorities will be addressed, through thematic working groups:

Climate Change
Private Land Conservation
Criteria and Indicators
Protected Areas Reporting
Marine protected areas
International
