The Manager, Planning and Land Administration provides strategic program direction and provides advice to senior staff, Ministry Executive, and the Minister on protected areas legislation, land acquisition, planning and management, and strategic policy issues including boundary proposals, appropriate uses and reconciliation with Indigenous interests in protected areas. The Manager represents the province in negotiations of federal/provincial agreements, leads the development of planning policy and program direction, and directs the delivery of the provincial protected areas land acquisition program.
The Manager, Planning and Land Administration leads a professional team of nine staff including senior planners and land acquisition and land administration specialists who are responsible for province-wide planning and land administration for BC Parks.
