Stan Rowe Home Place Graduate Award

The Canadian Council on Ecological Areas (CCEA) is pleased to announce
that it is now accepting applications for the second Stan Rowe Home Place
Graduate Award.
The Award is:
- a cash award of at least $1,000;
- to be granted once per year;
- available to a graduate student studying in Canada and
engaged in research related to CCEA's Mission. Priority will be given
to projects having an emphasis on an ecosystem or landscape-based approach
to selecting, establishing or managing protected ecological areas.
The cash award may be augmented by CCEA:
- inviting the student to present their work at the CCEA
Annual Conference;
- promoting their work in the CCEA newsletter; and
- publishing their work as a CCEA occasional paper.
Applications should be made by a first year graduate
student submitting:
- a brief letter, outlining their research and its relationship
to ;
- a copy of their research proposal;
- a letter of reference from their supervising professor;
and
- a current resume.
The applications should be submitted no later than December
15, 2007, preferably by e-mail. All applications received
will be acknowledged by e-mail. The successful student will be advised
by March 31, 2008 and their name will be posted on the CCEA website.
